On Sunday we had our first open community event performance in about 10 months! It was so exciting to be part of the entertainment at Nundah Village Street Festival, which was a stone's throw from our old rehearsal venue – Toombul Shire Hall.
We sang a range of repertoire for the local community on a gorgeous spring day! It was great to hear some of the other performers too. The Nundah Village Street Festival is a fantastic community event that has been running for 20 years (with a break at the height of the pandemic)! Entry is always free, and in addition to great live music, there is food, entertainment, stalls, bands, rides and more! We encourage you to check it out next year.
After the festival, a few of us stayed on for karaoke at local bar Fitz + Potts. We duetted, sang solos, and dabbled in pop, rock, jazz, musical theatre and a decent dose of Disney. We had the best time!
We can’t wait for our next performance, which will be on Wednesday 30 November at our Christmas Concert! Tickets are on sale now - we hope to see you there.
